At least among these reviews, I now hold the record. The unit died (completely) after less than a week of use. Completely dead--no lights or buttons or displays work. I plugged my hair dryer into the same plug where the unit had been plugged in just to make sure it was not the fault of my electrical system. Hair dryer works find.

This product is similar to the very old GE Profile oven it replaced. It was easy to install, but I thought it would be easier, because maybe I could mount it on the previous wall plate. There is a new strip mounting plate that I had to install after removing the old one, and patching the wall where the old one was attached.
My biggest concern was that I really liked the timer linked night light on the previous oven. I read all the specs from Best Buy and GE and saw that this one had a night light. I incorrectly assumed that it would be the same night light that was on my old oven. I was very disappointed to find that I would have to turn it on and off manually. With the old one, it was great to have the light on if I came home late. I felt that the description was misleading to anyone who used the nightlight feature on your older units.

The JVMmicrowave that I purchased is without a doubt the most attractive microwave on the market, which is not the main reason it caught my eye. I really was after a GE to replace my previous counter top model. I was searching for GE because of the satisfaction I have enjoyed from both a ref/freezer and a convection oven, both by GE .

Almost everything about this model is okay. Have to press hard to get the buttons to work. Would be nice if they were more sensitive. The light that stays on all the time is too bright and not able to dim it. Didn't have these issues with previous Model of this microwave.

It was not easy to find a white over the range microwave. This was it and it took weeks for it to arrive. So far so good. I hope it lasts longer than our last one that started making a buzzing sound when we closed the microwave door when nothing was cooking.

This GE over-the-range microwave is very modern-looking, has an easy-to-read functional key pad and operates well except that there is a minor rattling problem during operation. I noticed this right away and thought it would subside; but it didn't. ABT's is no longer carrying this model number.

The light is nice and bright. It is easy to see the whole stove top when the light is on high and the lower level is an excellent way to use the stove top controls without needing the higher setting. The vent works well and the filters are easily accessible for cleaning and maintaining. The power is adequate for the types of dishes I microwave.

I'm beyond disappointed! I've never experienced what occurred with this product. I've attempted to reach out to the company, but to no avail. Less than a month of owning the product, I placed a frozen dinner, following the instructions, in the microwave. Halfway through the cooking time, I heard a loud "pop" explosion noise. Investigating, everything appeared fine so I proceeded with the cooking time recommendation. Upon removing the dinner, I immediately became aware of a large black smudge smeared on the back wall. I proceeded to clean the area, but had no success in removing it. Although I did manage to minimize the black smudge quite a bit, I was not successful in removing it completely and have been left with a brand new product that has been defaced. I'm not using the product as often as I'd like because of fear that the next time the explosion will be on a bigger scale.

I bought this model because, according to the installation instructions, it was similar to my 20 year old GE microwave that had failed. I wanted to utilize the existing wall mounting bracket and the exhaust fan outlet from the old unit. Everything fit perfectly, making this essentially a plug and play installation. The new microwave is great and I especially like the LED display - the old plasma display was getting dim and hard to read. The new unit has all the features I need except there is no night light feature which could have been easily added with a little bit of additional software. Oh well, that's a minor gripe. Otherwise, the unit is great and serves my needs quite well!

Product is too new to me to give it a long term evaluation. However, it is the replacement for a GE microwave that I had for 20 years. It fits perfectly over the stove where my old one fit and aside from working well it looks good. Hopefully it will last as long, or nearly as long as the previous version of this microwave.
